We are seeking a dedicated Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Vantaca, revenue cycle management, and customer service.
Role and Responsibilities
The Collections and Legal Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing the collections process for delinquent accounts within multiple Homeowner Associations. This role combines legal knowledge and collection expertise to ensure timely recovery of past due-due assessments and enforcement of community governing documents. The specialist will work closely with Board Members, Legal Counsel, Community Managers and Homeowners to maintain compliance and minimize delinquency while protecting the financial integrity of the Associations.
Requirements
1. Strong Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to meticulously review legal documents and ledgers to identify discrepancies or errors.
2. Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of legal principles and procedures, particularly in the realm of collections and property law, is preferred.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English and Spanish, to effectively interact with team members, clients, and external parties.
4. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
5. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and varies document management systems for communication purposes.
6. Team Player: Collaborative attitude with a willingness to work closely with team members to achieve common goals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies or related field preferred.
· Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is preferred particularly in real estate and/or property law.
· Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both English and Spanish is required.
Working Conditions
· Office based position with some flexibility for remote work after 90 days.
· Occasional Attendance at HOA Board Meetings, which may occur in the evenings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
