Job Posting: Experienced Litigation Contract Attorney (Part-Time)

Specializing in Legal Research and Brief Writing

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned and sophisticated litigation attorney to join our team on a contract or part-time basis. This position requires a highly skilled professional with substantial experience in legal research and brief writing within a litigation environment. The ideal candidate will have high academic standards related to deep understanding of legal analysis, case law, and the ability to produce well-reasoned, articulate legal documents under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth legal research on various complex litigation matters, including case law, statutes, and regulations.
• Draft and prepare high-quality legal briefs, motions, and memoranda for use in litigation proceedings.
• Assist with case strategy and legal analysis to support litigation efforts.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure all legal arguments are thoroughly researched and effectively communicated.
• Review and analyze discovery materials, evidence, and other documents relevant to ongoing cases.
• Support trial preparation and other litigation activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on legal research and brief writing.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to draft persuasive legal documents, including motions, memoranda, and briefs.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legal research tools and resources.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently while managing multiple assignments.
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
• Active bar membership in good standing in the State of California.

Qualifications:

• Required experience in 1 or more of the following - litigation related to commercial disputes, transactional law/contracts, and healthcare law.
• Prior contract or part-time attorney experience is desirable but not required.
• Big Firm experience is preferred.
• Ability to work remotely or on-site, depending on the needs of the firm.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience; based on the candidate the opportunity can expand over time.
