THE COMPANY: Real Equity Management (REM) is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue!

THE LEASING AGENT POSITION: Our Brookside Downtown location is looking to hire a part-time Leasing Agent Intern to act as a brand ambassador through assisting their leasing team with sales efforts, helping with on campus events, giving tours and conducting follow-up with prospective residents.

LEASING AGENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops relationships with potential residents from first interaction through lease signing.
• Assists with the entire lease signing process; greeting customers, giving property tours, maintaining a follow-up schedule, closing the sale and signing leases.
• Assists in community events, marketing efforts and team-building exercises as needed.
• Maintains excellent working knowledge of property, amenities and community.
• Positively interacts with customers through phone, email and in-person communication.
• Assists with solving current resident issues by collecting information and identifying an adequate solution with the Community or Leasing Manager.

LEASING AGENT QUALIFICATIONS:

• Well connected with University of Missouri students
• Prior experience in real estate/housing industry a plus
• Sales/Customer Service experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours/week with some Saturday and Sunday work
