Operating Rooms Community-based centres Long Term Care PCU Emergency Department Duties Include: Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team. Analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness. Administer medications safely in accordance with Inova hospital policies and procedures. Serve as the point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments. Participate in ongoing quality improvement in the department as a patient safety advocate. Incorporate the professional practice model into care delivery. Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff. Coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care. Administer medications and/or treatments per physician's orders and monitor effectiveness. Manage medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures. Document care using computerized medication administration and charting software. Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action as necessary. Monitor nursing personnel on duty during the assigned shift. Perform additional tasks as needed. Requirements What You Will Need: Must have passed the New York State Nursing Licensure Examination (NCLEX). At least an Associate Degree in Nursing. Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
