Your Role:

The Corporate Accountant is a highly organized and detail-oriented individual, responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including payables, receivables, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role requires a proactive individual with strong knowledge of accounting software and processes, who is capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The Corporate Accountant will work closely with other members of the admin and finance team to support the preparation of financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Accounts Payable & Expense Management:

  • Enter payables and expense reports 
  • File A/P documentation accurately and on time
  • Process AMEX charges in QuickBooks
  • Follow up with teams on AMEX reports and submissions
  • Process Annual 1099s

Accounts Receivable:

  • Handle client ACHs on a daily and monthly basis
  • Process weekly, monthly, and special project invoicing to clients
  • Process invoicing for implementation, fee changes and recurring monthly charges
  • Reconcile open jobs and client reports for accuracy
  • Ensure accurate invoicing for third-party app services
  • Manage Revenue Share and ensure accurate payments from affiliates

Payroll:

  • Print liability reports, record payments, and process other payroll entries
  • Process HSA contributions, 401k, and garnishments
  • Record and review Guardian, Health Insurance, and other relevant invoice entries for accuracy
  • Maintain and update bonus tracking and commission tracking sheets
  • Update UI rate as necessary
  • Local Payroll Taxes

Financial Reconciliation & Reporting:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial tasks and reporting
  • Provide other support as needed

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

The ideal Accountant candidate will have 3+ years performing full charge bookkeeping and 2+ years using QuickBooks Desktop. In addition:

  • Strong Excel skills, working knowledge of pivot tables and power query a plus
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Working knowledge of prepaids and accruals
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work both independently, with minimal direction and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be decisive and work well under pressure
  • Proficient with various software with a willingness to learn new applications. Experience with BILL, Tallie, SaasAnt a plus
