Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented House Manager and Keeper to oversee and maintain all aspects of our residential property. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the household, while also managing various tasks related to house upkeep, as well as transporting children to and from school and other activities. This role requires a proactive and efficient individual who can multitask, communicate effectively, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform regular and thorough cleaning of all rooms, bathrooms, surfaces, appliances, and fixtures in the house, ensuring a hygienic and pleasant living environment for residents.
2. Organization: Maintain impeccable organization of all living spaces, closets, storage areas, and common areas, implementing systems to maximize efficiency and minimize clutter.
3. Laundry and Linens: Manage laundry tasks, including washing, ironing, folding, and storing clothes and linens. Ensure that fresh linens are provided regularly for bedrooms and bathrooms.
4. Inventory Management: Keep track of household supplies, groceries, cleaning products, and other essentials. Restock items as needed and maintain a well-stocked and orderly pantry.
5. Maintenance Oversight: Identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or services with appropriate professionals (plumbers, electricians, gardeners, etc.).
6. Child Transportation: Safely pick up and drop off children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments. Ensure the children's safety during transportation.
7. Event Preparation: Assist with event planning and preparation, including setting up tables, decorations, and ensuring the house is in excellent condition for gatherings.
8. Seasonal Cleaning: Conduct deep cleaning and seasonal maintenance tasks such as spring cleaning, winterizing, and patio maintenance.
9. Security and Safety: Ensure the house is secure by locking doors and windows, and report any security concerns to the homeowners. Adhere to safety protocols when using cleaning products and equipment.
Qualifications:
1. Prior Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, childcare, or a similar role is preferred.
2. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
3. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to maintain high cleanliness and aesthetic standards.
4. Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with homeowners, external staff, and vendors.
5. Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in fulfilling responsibilities.
6. Initiative: Proactive attitude with the ability to anticipate household needs and take necessary actions.
7. Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing.
8. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
