This is a unique opportunity to join Qualcomm's finance and accounting organization in the Corporate Internal Audit & Advisory Services (IA & AS) team. The department focuses on assisting the Audit Committee and management teams in the improvement of processes that manage risks related to achieving Qualcomm's business objectives.

Using Qualcomm's risk-based audit methodology, the candidate will support the execution of internal audits with a focus on Corporate operational areas. Specifically, the responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the creation of initial planning memos and process & control flows.
  • Identifying and assessing initial risks and control activities.
  • Designing audit procedures to evaluate control effectiveness.
  • Performing audit testing, identifying deviations from expected control activities, and effectively communicating observations to the audit team.
  • Leveraging data analytics throughout the audit process where feasible.
  • Staying abreast of changes in the business and industry to assess impacts to the company's risk profile.
  • Contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and making continuous process improvements for the overall IA team.

Preferred Qua lifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, external auditing, or SOX compliance within a global public company, Big4/mid-tier accounting firm or other fast-paced corporate setting.
  • Semiconductor business experience or familiarity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written skills).
  • CIA, CFE, CPA, or other credentials a plus.
  • 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).

Level of Responsibility:
  • Works under supervision.
  • Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.
  • Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department.
  • Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 1+ year of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master's = one year) of work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :
$70,000.00 - $105,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
